This video speaks for itself, but to explain further, Ari was diagnosed at 18 weeks in utero with critical aortic stenosis (narrowing of the aorta), which evolved into hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). Without intervention, this abnormality would most likely be fatal in the first few days or weeks of life. Ari was to first person two undergo two surgeries while in utero and here he is getting the best news of a new heart!
